Continuing Education Contact Hours

Conference attendees can earn over 20 continuing education contact hours:

• CME - Continuing Medical Education. Meharry Medical College is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
• CNE - Continuing Nursing Education. (ID: ASU-AzNA-5519-12) For more information, send an email to ACE@asu.edu or call 602.496.7431. The Academy for Continuing Education (ACE), Health Outcomes @ ASU, Arizona State University is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Arizona Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
• CLE/MCLE - Continuing Legal Education. Check with your state board.
• CCB - Compliance Certification Board. This program has been approved for Compliance Certification Board (CCB) Continuing Education Units in Compliance Training and Education and Auditing and Monitoring for Compliance. Granting of prior approval in no way constitutes endorsement by CCB of the program content or the program sponsor. A one-hour session translates into 1.2 CCB CEUs for CHC, CCEP, CHRC and CHPC.
• CEU - Continuing Education Units. Ten CNE contact hours equal one nursing CEU contact hour. Various other professional associations and licensing boards accept CNE contact hours. Check with your association or board.

* Some states calculate MCLE/CLE contact hours based on 50 minutes per hour and others based on 60 minutes per hour. The calculation may also vary by association. MAGI counts actual minutes (e.g., 45 minutes for a 45-minute session), except four-hour workshops are assumed to have one 15-minute break that is not counted. CME and CNE contact hours are counted in this way, per our continuiing education partners. CCB contact hours are counted differently, per above. For others, check with your state or association.

MAGI contact hours are not pre-approved but, to the best of our knowledge, are accepted by the following organizations:

The following rules apply to speakers:
CME: Speakers do not earn contact hours for their session/workshop.
CNE: Speakers do not earn contact hours for their share of their session/workshop, divided equally between speakers.
CCB: Speakers earn normal contact hours plus two hours for preparation.
